Kawamura Laboratory

The area of the research interest is very wide, thus variety of research and education are being performed under the guide of Professor A. Kawamura.
This laboratory is made of 1 professor, 1 secretary, 1 research associate, 1 post-doctoral-fellow, 1 industry research fellow, 18 graduate students (4 in Ph.D program, and 14 in master program), 5 senior undergraduate students and 2 research students (as of 2011/10/1). The total is 30 persons. In Japan the laboratory is named after the professor of the laboratory.
This laboratory was established in August of 1986. Since then awarded degrees in this laboratory are about 140 in BSEE, about 100 in MSEE and 23 in PhD (as of 2011/10/1).
The laboratory is located in several different sites. The main (Kenkyu-shitsu) is on the 6th floor in the ECE Bldg, and the second (Robo-beya) is on the 2nd floor in the ECE computer Bldg, the third is a garage on the 1st floor in ECE Bldg, and the fourth is on the 3rd floor in the University-Industry-Joint Research Bldg.
This laboratory has approximately $300,000 - $600,000 of grants and contracts (average of 2000-2011), and annually publishes approximately 40-50 papers in the domestic and/or international conferences and transactions.
